This quarter sawn oak cabinet was made about 1900 for a physician's or doctor's office, and could serve in a bath or also as a collector's or jewelry chest. An original gold signature label is undecipherable.
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. Original glass panes are beveled and the door lock has a key.
A center drawer has a lock to secure narcotics, the key is missing, but when pushed all the way in a hidden mechanism locks most of the other drawers. Behind a drop front door is a swing out nickel tray, there is also a drop front towel hamper. The upper section is removable for easier delivery.
