An opulent "Cartouche" wall clock in the Rococo manner was hand carved in Sweden about 1930 and is signed "Westerstrand of Toreboda," Sweden. The original burnished gold finish over hand carved wood is lovely. There are various touchups, see photos.
The 8 day brass movement has been professionally cleaned and oiled and keeps excellent time, striking the hour and the half on a bell. Pendulum and filigree brass hands are original, this clock must hang on a wall to operate.
The dial of this lovely antique European timepiece has a convex glass and hinged cover. Size is 13" wide, 24" tall and 5" deep.
