A traditional Welsh dresser or pewter cupboard is hand-made of oak and pine, and dates from the early to middle 1800's. The glowing medium brown finish is very fine with warm patina on this lovely antique.
There is lots of character due to age, shrinkage separations and wear. Square nails and wooden pegs secure the hand-planed boards together with visible mortise joints, crafted by a skilled country cabinetmaker. Drawers have delicate hand-cut dovetails, and the upper gallery section is removable for handling.
Measurements of this picturesque and historic furniture are 5'10" wide, 20" deep and 7' tall.
