Known as the “Goddess of Smoke” as it was originally used as the center of an ashtray, the threads can easily be adapted to fit a radiator cap and they are now commonly accepted as hood ornaments. Corning also made a larger example know as “Mother.”
The threaded glass stem has been fitted to a round oak plinth to use as a paperweight. Presumably from the 1920's, the beautiful face and sleek windblown hair is an iconic design, note very tiny marks, bubbles, flakes as shown in the photos.
Size of figure is 4 3/4" wide, 2 5/8" high to top of threads, 3.25" high to bottom of threads Threads approximately 7/8" in diameter.
The wooden base is 4 1/2" diameter and height is 4 1/2" overall.
