This sophisticated Art Deco period cedar lined chest from about 1940 is diagonally matched walnut and burl, zebra wood and mahogany. The gleaming finish is in excellent condition on this bench height vintage furniture.
Inside is a tray that opens as the lid is raised. There is a push-button latch on the lid as well. Bronze moldings make this trunk "airtight" for the "moth insurance policy" inside. Lock and key are working on this "waterfall" design vintage furniture.
Signed "Lane of Altavista, Virginia," size is 48" long, 19" deep and 21 1/2" tall.
