The solid quarter-sawn oak top, apron and base all have beautiful fine grain on an Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period round dining table with 6 leaves. The rich deep satiny brown finish is in excellent condition. The columnar pedestal splits when extended, revealing a center leg for extra support.
Six 12" wide leaves have matching shaped skirts or aprons, they fit and match very well. On the top is a stable repaired shrinkage separation from age, see photo. There are small mars and dings on the feet, see photos.
Rugged American antique furniture from about 1900, this substantial table shows Empire influence.
Measurements are 54" diameter, 29 1/2" tall, legroom underneath is 25 1/2" high, and when fully extended, the table is 10' 6" long.
