This marvelous roll-top desk is from the Arts & Crafts or Mission Oak period about 1900. Entirely bold grained quarter sawn oak, the rich deep finish is excellent,with minor mars at the edges.
Deep dovetailed drawers have some adjustable dividers, there is a large file drawer. Two pull-out shelves add workspace. The roll operates smoothly, and inside are tiny compartments, one with a lock, drawers and letter holders.
Signed "Standard by Revell," on the brass keyhole plate, the heavy weight brasses and feet appear original.
Clean lines and rich natural wood grain distinguish this American antique furniture, size is 5'6" long, 3' deep, 44" tall and the writing surface is 31" high. The kneehole is 24 1/2" wide and 24 1/2" tall.
