Professionally adjusted, oiled and timed, this "Atmos" 540 model clock is signed by famed Swiss makers, Yaeger LeCoultre, and is in flawless running condition. There is a tiny chip to the lower right corner of the glass door, see photo.
The gold plated case and movement are in excellent condition with only minute scratches where the glass door is opened. Serial number 671243 shows this clock dates from the 1990's.
An engineering marvel, this remarkable timepiece is powered entirely by changes in atmospheric pressure, which is why these are sometimes called "perpetual motion machines."
The revolving pendulum has a lever that locks and secures it for moving. Time adjustment is with a lever on the top of the intricate 13 jewel movement.
Feet are adjusted by checking the bubble level in the base, and measurements are 8" wide, 6" deep and 9" tall.
