This graceful antique back bar, sideboard or server has an upper china or curio cabinet with glass doors, artistically hand carved in solid quarter sawn oak.
The lustrous finish is superb and original except for the revarnished top surface. Drawers have original brass hardware and hand-cut dovetailed joints.
Masterfully hand carved in France, sides and doors have raised panels. The arched center section has shelves adjustable on wooden supports. A dramatic crest shows artistic asymmetrical rococco influence.
So clean and unworn, it is remarkable that this lovely antique actually dates from about 1895.
The upper section of this antique furniture is removable for handling. Measurements of this elegant and well proportioned furniture are 55" wide, 25" deep, 8' 8" tall, the base is 42" high. The center door is hinged on the left, and the matching cabinet is hinged on the right and sold separately.
