A Victorian oak 'No. 9 Gallon" butter churn is signed "Bent Wood Butter Churn, Brown, Wapakeneta, Ohio" with original stenciling.
The tank is actually formed from a single plank of oak, steam bent into a "U" shape. The iron gears, handle and wooden paddles inside appear operational, but we couldn't come up with 9 gallons of cream for a test batch.
The finish is very fine on this 1890's country antique, and dimensions are 27" long including the handle, 18" wide and 32" tall.
