Demilune or half-round shaped, this beautiful console table is signed by famous maker, "Berkey and Gay." Useful in a hall, dining room or foyer, the top has a sunburst pattern in walnut burl, accented with curly elm burl and ebony banding. Classical hand-painted motifs are original.
Actually a graceful ellipse or "eyebrow" shape, there is a carved finial in the trestle base and the satiny finish is excellent with only minor mars. The center carved panel is a drawer front with dovetailed joinery and a removable caddy.
Solid walnut, the frame is solid and strong. This beautiful American antique furniture dates from the 1920's, measurements are 6' 4" wide, 23" deep and 36" tall.
