Hand made about 1900 in the elegant Biedermeier or Empire influenced design, this solid curly birch dining or conference table is inlaid with contrasting walnut. The shimmering golden finish is excellent with beautiful patina and wonderful glowing color.
Original slides open and close smoothly, there is a fifth leg in the center for extra support. All eleven 12" wide leaves fit well and have matching skirts or aprons, they have been rebuilt. There are very minor shrinkage separations and mars at the edges. Very rugged and strong, this antique table is graceful and well proportioned.
This remarkable furniture has a contemporary look and gorgeous natural grain, size is 47" wide, 30 1/2" tall, legroom is 25 1/2" high, length closed is 58", with all leaves in place length is 16' 1/2" total. Matching pieces are sold separately.
