We chose this piece for the incredible depth and detail of the carving—bold lion figures, layered foliage, and richly sculpted surfaces that bring the cabinet to life. Work like this takes immense skill and countless hours, and it deserves to be seen and appreciated every day.
- European antique 1890s from the Black Forest where Germany, Switzerland and France meet
- Fantastically carved quarter sawn oak
- Top surface has been refinished for durability. The rest of the original finish has been waxed and buffed, preserving minor mars. All that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Shrinkage separations from age - see photos

- Drawer has hand cut dovetail joints
- Fixed wood shelf in bottom cabinet
- Top gallery is removable
