A spectacular "Bombe" or convex shaped chest of drawers, dresser or commode has inlaid marquetry design. The satiny finish on matched walnut burl is very fine with beautiful antique patina and character - there are the usual small shrinkage separations and minor mars.
The famous Italian "Porfirio" black and gold marble top has a professional repair and the polish is excellent. Brasses are original, drawers have solid oak sides with hand-cut dovetails.
Expertly crafted in northern Italy about 1910, this is dramatic and bold scale antique furniture.
