A bronze sculpture of a classical Roman farmer in a tunic bearing a sheaf of wheat is from the early 1900's, signed "Boyer" at the bottom.
The French sculptor, Emile Boyer, lived 1877-1948. This multi-talented artist worked in bronze and marble and was also a landscape painter.
This work of art has rich deep patina and rests on a black marble base.
Measurements are 6" across, 5" deep and 14" tall.
