About 40 years old, this recast bronze sculpture of a mountain lion and a rabbit is signed "A.L. Barye." The deep charcoal patina is in very good condition on this vintage work of art.
Antoine Louis Barye lived 1795-1875 in Paris. His statues of naturalistic animals are highly prized around the world. A Romantic sculptor, he was France's most famous "animalier."
Size is 13" x 6" and 5 1/2" tall.
