This kitchen counter island with a solid maple butcher block top is at stool height for working or dining.
There are two positions for the top, either centered on the base or offset for a dining overhang on one side, see photos. The rugged base is rebuilt from timbers cut in the late 1800's the top is over a century old.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of mars, losses and wear for antique character. Large wooden pegs align the top as desired, there are screws to secure it in place.
