Carved of walnut about 1880, a stately bookcase has leaded beveled glass doors and is in wonderful original condition. The finish is excellent with glowing warm patina, all original with a revarnished top surface.
Embossed brasses are also original. Drawers and the case have hand dovetailed joinery. Shelves are adjustable on wooden supports. We see no damage to the beveled glass panes. Three separate stacking sections make for easier moving.
Outstanding master craftsmanship from Austria is evident in the finely carved details, Ionic capitals above the columns and banded burl panels on the lower doors.
Measurements of this lovely antique are 47" wide, 23" deep and 83" tall.
