A traditional "Hitchcock" design side or desk chair from about 1840 was said to be from Connecticut. The original stenciled fruit bowl painting and grained seat have been preserved with clear varnish.
Hand carving marks are visible on this American made antique hardwood furniture. The frame is strong and tight, reglued to serve another generation.
Measurements are 16" wide, 19" deep, 34" tall and the seat is 17" high.
