Country French Carved Oak Server Sideboard & Clock

Richly carved of solid fine-grained oak in classic Country French design, this large sideboard or server has lots of storage and display space plus a clock. The original medium brown finish is extremely fine with very little wear. Doors are expertly carved, all doors and side panels are raised on this exemplary furniture from about 1920.
The clock has its original engraved dial and cast brass sun motif, the movement was replaced about 40 years ago with a wind-up 8 day movement that keeps excellent time.
Drawers have hand-dovetailed oak sides, the upper section is separate for easier moving. Brasses are original on this imposing but graceful genuine French antique with a beautiful shell crest at the top.
Measurements are 6' long, 24" deep, 7' 3" tall and the base is 43" high.
