This style of traditional bakery cupboard was called a "pie safe," the punched tin panels ventilated fresh pies and kept flies away.
Solid walnut with pine sides and top, this hand crafted country furniture has a very fine old finish with warm antique patina. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its glowing luster.
Drawers have beautifully hand cut dovetail joints and original turned walnut knobs attached with wooden dowel screws on this American made furniture. There are shrinkage separations from age and just enough mars and wear for character.
Measurements of this picturesque cabinet are 46 1/2" wide, 17" deep and 50" tall
