Hand carved in Holland about 1910, a library desk has rich Renaissance detail and fine moldings. It is solid oak with diamond matched mahogany panels.
The top has been revarnished for durability, the base has its original finish that is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints and original brasses on this Dutch antique furniture. Locks have no keys and this desk is three separate stacking modules for easy moving.
Measurements are 59" long, 33" deep, 31 1/2" tall and the knee hole is 23" wide and 24 1/2" high.
