English Antique 1890 Mahogany Military Officer Campaign Desk & Chest #29883

An authentic "campaign" chest and desk was made for British military officers to be portable on the battlefield. Brass corners and recessed pulls made for safer and easier transport. Solid mahogany, the top has exposed dovetail joints at the sides. A drop front has a working lock and opens to reveal the desk with tooled leather and tiny drawers and cubicles behind.

The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of dings and mars, seep photos. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints on this English antique furniture from the 1890's.

Size is 36 1/2" wide, 18" deep and 41 1/2" tall.
