English Traditional Library Book, Bible or Dictionary Stand, Signed Caledonian
A Georgian design bookstand for a dictionary or bible is signed by famed importer, "Made in England for Caledonian" of Winnetka, near Chicago.
About 40 years old, the restored finish is in excellent condition on solid mahogany. There are pull out candle stands on both sides of this vintage library furniture that have mars, see photos.
The top has an adjustable tilting mechanism. In the flat position, the top is 22" wide, 18" deep and 30" tall.
