Hand carved in France about 1900, this classic armoire has doors with original beveled and shaped mirrors plus a "secret" drawer.
Walnut with matched grain, the original finish is very well preserved with just enough wear for antique character. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm glow.
A three dimensional crest and delicate moldings are beautiful. Inside are oak shelves on adjustable wooded supports plus birdseye maple panels. The key in the door is a handle only, the lock does not work. This historic wardrobe can be disassembled for moving. Size is 51" wide, 21" deep, 91 1/2" tall and interior depth is 15."
