French Carved Queen Size 1890 Antique Three Piece Bed Set

An elegant antique French Louis XV design walnut bed set dates from the 1890's and is shown with a standard modern queen size mattress, it has been converted to queen size with steel rails. The original carved odd size rails are included if desired.

The wonderful Rococo carving is truly amazing and shows stunning artistry. Expert hand carving is in high relief, panels are diagonally matched. Minor mars at the edges and shrinkage are as expected with age and the original finish is excellent with warm patina. Graceful curves show superior craftsmanship and quality.

Measurements of this exquisite bed from France is 59" wide, 81" long, the headboard is 56" tall, and the footboard is 39" tall.

A richly hand-carved French walnut bedside table has a marble top. There is a hand dovetailed drawer, the compartment below has a ceramic liner. Measurements of this graceful nightstand are 16" wide, 15" deep and 34" tall.

This armoire can be disassembled for moving. Brasses are original, and the lock and key are working. Wide beveled and shaped mirrors have a hint of "smoke" to show their age. The interior is oak and bird's eye maple with adjustable shelves on wooden supports. There is a hand dovetailed drawer at the bottom. Measurements are 98" tall, 54" wide and 22" deep, interior depth is 15 1/2."
