Carved about 1900, an opulent back bar or server has beveled glass panes and a later granite top. Solid fruitwood, the satiny finish is excellent with warm antique patina.
Carved details, raised panels and galleries are beautiful on this furniture from northern Europe. There are shrinkage separations and minor mars as to be expected with an antique this age - see photos.
The blue/black granite top is later, glued to the top of the base cabinet. On the right side, the granite and moldings are flat rather than sculpted like the left side, see photos. Blue glass interior shelves are also later.
Measurements are 55" wide, 21' deep, and 93" tall. The granite seving surface is 41" from the floor.
