Entirely original, this wonderful tall case clock is signed by premier American maker, "Herschede." The back of the brass movement is engraved, "Pat. Jan 12, 1909." The engraved dial is beautiful, weights and pendulum are brass, and even the winding crank is original.
Gracefully arched, the mahogany case has a very fine original finish, with minor mars at the edges - see photos.
The precision movement has been oiled and runs 8 days, striking the hour, plus a Westminster chime on the quarter hour. There is no lever for silencing the strike. Measurements are 22" wide, 14" deep and 6 1/2' tall.
