Italian Carved Pair of Night Stands / Bedside Tables

Elegantly hand carved in Northern Italy, these marble top bedside tables or nightstands are a true right and left pair.
Prestigious furniture from about 1900, the black marble is from the "Nero Portoro" quarry, famous since Roman times. There are chips on the rear corners of the back edges.
The original finish has warm antique patina and has been revarnished, it is in excellent condition with minor mars at the edges, see photos. Drawers have hand-cut dovetail joints and original embossed brasses. The carved back splashes are original and are removable.
Measurements of this stately pair are 18" wide, 13" deep, 38" tall and the marble top is 29" high.
