Italian Renaissance 1900's Antique King Size 4 Pc. Bedroom Set Marble Top Chests

A magnificent Renaissance design four piece bedroom set was carved for a palazzo in northern Italy in the early 1900's, and includes a king size bed, chest or dresser with mirror and two nightstands.

The renewed finish is in excellent condition, enhancing masterful deep hand carving in solid walnut. Famous "Nero Portoro" black marble tops have been polished and sealed to resist stains on this antique furniture.

Drawers have original carved knobs and hand cut dovetail joints. The chest has a beveled mirror with an original hand carved dark gold frame and a shell motif. Two lower drawers lock with a key.

Measurements are 56 1/2" wide, 23" deep and 79" tall, the marble is 39" high. A true right and left pair of nightstands or bedside chests measure 22" wide, 16" deep and 29" tall.

The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern king size mattress, photos show demonstrator mattress and spring units that are 18" thick together. Wood supports and legs underneath as shown are included. Dimensions are 83" wide, 89" long, the headboard is 86" tall and the footboard is 31" tall.
