An authentic signed "Limbert" rocker dates from about 1905, during the Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period. Solid quarter sawn oak, the original finish has some wear, mars and dings plus very nice antique patina.
Joints are held with wooden pegs, the signature stamp is under the arm, see photo. The spring cushion has been newly reupholstered, a curved back and wide arms make this American furniture comfortable.
There is a shrinkage separation from age on the left arm in front of the exposed mortise joint, see photo. Size is 25" wide, 29" deep, 34" tall and the seat is 16" high.
