Lion Carved 1885 Oak Library Table Writing Desk

Hand carved with lion heads of solid oak about 1885, a magnificent library table or writing desk has a leather top.
The deep finish is excellent, enhancing high relief details including grapevines and bird heads. Two drawers have hand cut dovetails.
The gold tooled leather top has wear and stains for a little antique character, see photos.
Furniture from France, size is 64" long, 36" deep and 31" tall. There is almost 25" of knee room under the apron.
