A sculpture of a young woman playing the lute is spelter metal, mounted on a marble base, and signed "Hip. Moreau." The dark patina is original from the 1890's and is in very fine condition with just enough wear to be charming.
The natural and graceful pose is beautiful as the musician pauses, her thoughts far away in an intriguing expression.
