Genuine New England antique furniture from about 1825, this classic chest of drawers or dresser is solid cherry with solid tiger maple drawer fronts.

Entirely hand-made by a skilled country carpenter, the hand-cut dovetails on the drawers are beautiful. There is a stain in the wood in the front of one drawer plus minor mars at the edges, see photo. The rough-sawn back has been reattached. Golden sapwood grain shows at the edges of wide solid cherry planks.

Straightforward and clean design plus beautiful shimmering grain are exceptional, the satiny finish is excellent with warm patina. Size is 43" wide, 21" deep and 38" tall.
