A striking sideboard or buffet with an original beveled mirror was crafted of solid quarter sawn oak about 1885.
The warm finish is excellent, enriching the subtle carved details that are reminiscent of the work of architect Louis Sullivan in Chicago, where this antique was made.
Drawers have hand cut dovetails and the opulent intricate cast brasses are original. The upper gallery is removable for delivery. Exceptionally fine workmanship is evident throughout this historic American furniture.
Size is 54" wide, 24" deep, 71" tall and the base is 36" high.
