A swivel adjustable desk armchair from about 1900 is solid quarter sawn oak. The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few stains and mars for antique character. Strong and tight, the frame has been reglued to serve another generation.
A cast iron mechanism is embossed "Pat. in the US & Great Britain." The chair swivels and tilts with a little "clunk" as it goes back. Ball bearing wheels are replacements on this American made office or library furniture.
Measurements are 23" wide, 21" deep, 38" tall and height of the seat as shown is 20," adjustable up and down.
