This pair of Midcentury Modern stools do not have signature labels, but are unmistakeably the work of noted designer, Arthur Umanoff. Many photos of these stools are available on line, google "Images for Umanoff."
Designed in 1957, this vintage furniture is all original. The black finish on delicate but strong wrought iron bases is worn.. Curved backs have original rush is very fine condition. The slatted and bent maple seats are curved for comfort on this distinguished designer furniture, the original finish has slight wear as shown.
Each of these comfortable and memorable pieces measures 18" wide, 18" deep, 40" tall and seats are 29" high.
