A traditional folk harp is of a style made only in Paraguay, South America. About 20 years old, this harp was used as a piece of sculpture and never played. We have tuned it and it does hold a tune and is playable, click below for recording.
Hand carved of mahogany and other hardwoods with a spruce soundboard, this folk instrument has an excellent finish. The performer plays with fingernails, holding the harp at a comfortable angle. Taller players rest the harp on a base or low table, it will not stand on its own.
Each of the 37 strings has tuning peg. There is a padded cloth case included. Measurements are 5' tall, 30" wide and 17" deep.
