A signed "Pramberger" grand piano and matching bench were crafted around ten years ago, and have a silken hand-rubbed polished finish in excellent condition on Bubinga hardwood. The brilliant polished case has only very minor scratches.
From the top of the line "Platinum Series," this is model "JP185," introduced in 2000. Strings and hammers are German, the sound board is Canadian spruce.
This classic piano has firm action and warm tone. This instrument was played very little and has been tuned, the soundboard is intact. There are small scratches across the white keys, see photos.
The Pramberger family has built pianos in Germany since the 1800's. A descendant, Joseph Pramberger, was vice president and head designer for 29 years at Steinway in New York, and in 1987 began making pianos using the Pramberger family name. Assembly is in Korea by "Young Chang under license from Joseph Pramberger."
Size of this beautiful musical instrument is 59" wide, 6' 1" long and 40" tall with the lid closed. The music desk is adjustable, and arms support the lid at two different heights.
There is music book storage under the bench lid, which matches but is a slightly different color, see photos. measures 30" long, 14" wide and 18 1/2" tall.
