A splendid 1920's era sideboard, server or hall console was richly carved in the Renaissance manner. The deep restored finish on walnut is in excellent condition. Black Italian "Nero Portoro" marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains.
Dovetailed drawers have genuine rosewood banding and inlaid burl and marquetry panels, hardware is original. The grand trestle bases on this American made antique furniture are reglued to serve another generation. There are minor losses at the edges, see photos. A maker's signature is lost on this piece, but the matching side pieces still are marked by famous maker, "Rockford of Rockford, Ill."
Size is 7' 1" long, 26" deep and 37 1/2" tall. Fully carved back legs keep the top about 1 1/4" from the wall.
Matching pieces in photos are priced and sold separately, call or email for availability.
