This ball shaped desk clock or watch from about 1890 is not in working condition. Signed "Resdomas of Switzerland," the hand painted porcelain dial has damage, see photos.
The jeweled movement has a visible escapement. There is a flat spot on the back of the ball shaped case so it sits solidly on a desk. This is sold as a "paperweight" only, the 8 day movement could possibly be restored to working condition by the right watchmaker.
The nickel finish case is 2 3/4" diameter excluding the ring and winding knob.
