The finest table of its type we have ever seen, this 5' round dining table from about 1900 has six leaves with skirts or aprons.
A carved and fluted pedestal has graceful lion paw feet. To extend, the pedestal splits, revealing a fluted inner pedestal for extra support.
Solid quarter sawn oak with richly figured grain, the finish is in excellent condition throughout. Leaves have matching skirts, but not the detailed carving on the lower rim like the table itself, see photos.
This American made antique opens and closes smoothly. Very grandly proportioned, measurements are 5' diameter, 30" tall, legroom is 25 1/2" high, and length with all six leaves in place is 10' 8" overall.
