Sligh George Washington Cherry Desk

Patterned after George Washington's famous desk in New York City Hall, this elegant cherry desk is signed by noted maker, "Sligh of Holland, MI."
Vintage furniture in beautiful condition, it has letter shelves at both ends, just like the original. The deep brown finish is excellent, drawers are dovetailed and the heavy weight brasses are original from about 25 years ago.
Paneled and finished on all sides, dimensions are 5'2" long, 32" wide, 34" tall and the writing surface is 29" above the floor. The kneehole measures 24" wide and 23 1/2" high.
