A signed "Steinway and Sons, New York" Midcentury Modern console size upright piano was made in 1942. The original glossy finish on figured mahogany is in very fine condition with only minor mars at the edges, see photos.
Resonant tone is what Steinway is famous for, and this vintage instrument is in excellent playing condition. The action is still firm but easy to play. Genuine ivory keys are slightly yellowed as shown, with a chip on the lowest G. There is a crack in the original soundboard as shown that does not affect the performance or tone of the piano.
The similar bench in photos is priced and sold separately, call or email for availability. Measurements are 41" tall, 59" wide and 25" deep.
