Story and Clark Eastlake 1890's Oak Concert Organ

Built by Story and Clark of Chicago about 1890, this marvelous reed organ has an oak case with late Victorian or Eastlake moldings and carving. This large concert reed organ was made for a lodge, concert hall or church, and was therefore finished and paneled on all sides. The 19 original hand painted porcelain stops are intact, many more than on a typical home style organ.

The original golden finish on the antique furniture case is in amazing condition for its age. The organ plays by pumping the two pedals, or by having an assistant operate the handle at the right side. This organ plays poorly, it leaks air, and we assume that the bellows need restoration in order for this wonderful organ to perform well.

It is well worth refurbishing. Story and Clark later became famous for their pianos. Size is 58" wide, 30" deep and 5'1" tall.
