Traditional Georgian Breakfront China Cabinet Bookcase & Desk

A classic Georgian design breakfront china cabinet or bookcase has a pull out desk and is signed, "Craig Furniture Georgetown Collection, Feb. 8, 1952."

Beautifully crafted of mahogany, the top of the base is restored for durability. The balance of the finish is very well preserved with a few mars for character. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm luster.

Hardware is original on drawers with dovetailed joints, lower doors have raised shaped panels. The base is gracefully bowed in the front. Individual glass panes are slightly convex and interior shelves have grooves for plate display.

Inside the pull out desk are tiny cubicles and drawers for papers. The upper section of this vintage cabinet lifts off for easier moving.

Understated and very well made, measurements are 67" wide, 18" deep and 81" tall.
