Hand carved of solid oak with burl panels, this grand triple library bookcase dates from about 1915.
Delicate bird and flower motifs are artistic on this antique furniture from Belgium. The original finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and polished. All that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. There are minor losses at the edges and feet for a little character, see photos.
Three separate banks of shelves adjust on wooden supports, lower drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints. There are keys for the door locks only, the center door has original beveled plate glass, side doors have grill work and original wavy glass.
This historic bookcase can be disassembled for easier transport.
