Hammered and intricately hand engraved by a traditional artisan, this solid brass banquet tray from Turkey was used for a traditional Middle Eastern "Meze" feast, many little dishes served at the same time to be scooped and eaten with bread.
About 100 years old, this tray could have a hanging hook attached as wall art, or could be set on a base to use as a coffee or cocktail table. There are stains and warps for patina and antique character on this work of art.
Measurements are 45" diameter and 1 1/2" deep.
