This Victrola or Victor Talking Machine record player is model VV-XVI from around 1910. The mahogany case is original with a remarkably well-preserved finish, see photos of minor scratches. Gold plated hardware is all original on this top-of-the-line large size model.
This player works well, the speed control is operational and there is an automatic shutoff at the end of play. Crank is removable, the spring motor is in good running order. Volume control is soft (both doors closed), medium (one door open) and loud (both doors open).
In the lower record storage area are original albums of various records. The famous "His Master's Voice" design with the dog "Nipper" is under the lid.
Measurements of this nostalgic American antique are 25" wide, 24" deep and 4' 2" tall when the lid is closed, excluding the removable crank.
