Victorian 1870 Oil Portrait of Twins

A large original Victorian oil painting on canvas is a portrait of twins with golden curls in embroidered gowns. The pencil signature on the reverse of the wooden stretcher is hard to read, but looks like "Rufkin(?) H. White, Rollin T. White, age 3 1/2, 187?."
There is significant damage to the canvas - a hole and losses to the paint. It has not been worked on, so it is a good candidate for restoration. The faces are adorable on this American antique portrait, overall size is 35 1/2" wide and 50" tall.
